ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP
This partnership was created as an option for our hospitals and their critical nursing workforce shortages - Now and In the Future. Since this partnership was created in November 2003, our HCCA nurse placements are:
- 77 nurses currently working at our area hospitals (as of March 2006).
- 26 more nurses arriving over the next 6 to 12 months to work in area hospitals.
- Many more nurses wanting to come work in North Texas area.
Currently 10 of our area hospitals are participating. We are pleased that in less than 6 months, HCCA had the first nurses working in the area and the flow continues. For more news about the program, please see DFWHC's 2004 Interlocutor and 2005 Interlocutor.
