H1B DFW Healthcare Project (August 20002 to June 2005) - This is a $3 million DOL grant that DFWHC managed for WorkSource for Dallas County.  The grant was awarded in August 2002 and was extended through June 2005.  The purpose of the grant was to train over 500 individuals within a two year period in the following healthcare careers:  Nursing (LVN, ADN, BSN, and RN to BSN programs), respiratory technologist. pharmacy technician, surgical technologists, medical assistant, radiological technologist, and MRI certification.  Project partners included 9 hospital systems, 17 training providers, WorkSource for Dallas County, and Tarrant County WorkAdvantage.

WorkSource for Dallas County State Activity Grant for Hospital Based Distance Learning Program  (January to June 2005) - This is a $178,000 grant from the State Activity funds from WorkSource for Dallas County.  The grant covers expenses to train 60 students in their first semester of the El Centro ADN program offered via the hospital based distance learning at Baylor, Methodist, and THR hospitals.

Wagner-Peyser Grant from the Texas Workforce Commission through Texas State Governor  - This is a $500,000 grant awarded by Governor Perry and funded through the Texas Workforce Commission.  The grant covers expenses to train students in the hospital based distance learning program at current and new hospital partners.  This includes the following partners - Baylor University Medical Center, Methodist Health System, Texas Health Resources System Hospitals, JPS Health Network, El Centro College, and Tarrant County College.
