Love to participate in Aug. 18 legislative update in Fort Worth

Part of a panel of experts, W. Stephen Love, president/CEO of the DFW Hospital Council, will participate in a special legislative debrief hosted by Children at Risk, August 18 at The Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) in Fort Worth. The “2015 Texas Legislative Session: The Impact on Texas Children” takes place from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $15.

The event will also include speakers Mandi Kimball, director of public policy and government affairs, Children at Risk; Kathryn Freeman, director of public policy, Christian Life Commission, Texas Baptists; Madeline McClure, LMSW, founder/CEO, TexProtects; and Jason Sabo, founder, Frontera Strategy.

Children at Risk is a nonprofit organization that drives change for children through research, education and influencing public policy. It is a Texas leader in understanding the health, safety and economic indicators impacting children. Children at Risk began to expand its efforts in North Texas and opened a Dallas office in 2011. Love serves on the North Texas Board of Directors.
