Rex McRae Fund
Encouraging Students
The Rex McRae Scholarship Endowment Fund was created in 1998 by the DFWHC Board of Trustees. The award is named in memory of Rex McRae, a President and CEO of Arlington Memorial Hospital for 28 years. Mr. McRae, who was also DFWHC Board Chairman in 1987, was influential in dealing with the nursing shortage that year.
The Fund was created to financially assist students in nursing and the allied health professions. With a goal of $100,000, DFWHC continues to seek funding for the endowment.
