COGNOS PowerPlay Reports
What reporting capabilities does COGNOS allow my hospital?
IQSC Public Use Data File (PUDF)
- Stratification by Risk Mortality and Severity of Illness
- Zip Code Analysis
- Payer Mix Analysis
- Comparative Reports comparing to peer groups that can be easily selected & saved for future reporting.
- Fundamentally, most any ad hoc report that you can generate with use of the PUDF data.
Inpatient Quality Indicators (IQI)
- This reporting capability allows a hospital to compare their actual to expected mortality indicators and utilization measures using the AHRQ's Inpatient Quality Indicators methodology adopted by Texas.
Patient Safety Indicators (PSI)
- The PSI's have been released in the National Report Card. These measures contain such things as postoperative hemorrhage, anesthesia complications, retained foreign body, failure to rescue and birth trauma. The Web portal allows hospitals to quickly compare their measures to other area hospitals.
Physician Reporting Module
- This capability is an agreed-upon initiative with our hospitals coming together to share physician level data, primarily for the purpose of market analysis.
THCIC Reporting Module
- This reporting capability allows flexible reporting for hospitals that have purchased the State data. Should a hospital wish to select only the pediatric hospitals or trauma hospitals in the State, they can easily get to payer mix analysis, morality stratification analysis, length of stay, total charge comparisons and much more for all hospitals across the State.
