IRVING, TX – The Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council (DFWHC) Education and Research Foundation presented the “First Annual North Texas Patient Safety Summit: Excellence Through Collaboration” on Wednesday, April 16 at the Las Colinas Colinas Country Club in Irving. The full-day event took place from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and was held in the venue's main ballroom.
A total of 6.75 CNEs and 6.15 CMEs was offered.
Special guests included Michael Leonard, MD, a National Physician Leader for Patient Safety at Kaiser Permanente and a faculty member of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement; and Alison H. Page, MSN, MHA, Chief Safety Officer of Fairview Health Services.
The meeting, the first of its type held in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, served as a unique opportunity to create a forum for patient safety leaders to discuss adverse event situations and challenges for the purpose of shared learning.
Attendees who submitted a best practice from their hospital received special discounts. Patient Safety, Quality and Risk Management leaders, in addition to CMOs, CNOs, CEOs and CFOs, were invited to attend.
