Patient Safety and Quality Committee

Purpose:

The Data Initiative Executive Committee charters the Patient Safety and Quality Committee to support member hospitals' efforts to improve health care through the development and effective use of clinical data.

Objectives:

1. Conduct analysis of national, state and local healthcare data to identify potential safety and quality concerns for member hospitals and the community.
2. Use member hospital safety and quality data to drive community-wide quality improvement issues.
3. Disseminate local, state and national updates on current and future quality/patient safety mandates and initiatives to member hospitals.
4. To provide a forum for networking, collaboration and sharing of best practices among members and staff that develops effective strategies to address patient safety and quality concerns.
